The Process

The Process

We started with thorough research of the Vivienne Westwood customer. Noting all relevant information that would allow us to tailor our line to the brand’s consumers.

Using what we were able to find on the Vivienne Westwood consumer, we created the inspiration board above to capture what we had in mind for this line. From this, the collection, Defiance, was born.

We then started sketching some rough ideas for the collection. With 30 sketches to choose from, it took some time to determine which we would move forward with.

After much consideration, we decided on the 8 looks shown above. These looks best captured the essence of the Defiance collection and stayed true to the Vivienne Westwood consumer.

“The only possible effect one can have on the world is through unpopular ideas.”

— Vivienne Westwood

Outcome

Outcome

This collection is a testament to what Westwood herself would have created today—a fearless blend of provocative design, rebellion, and satirical commentary on the political landscape of the United Kingdom.

Imagine a world where rebellion meets high fashion, sparking a revolution.

Westwood has a history of using fashion to make powerful social and political statements. Vivienne Westwood challenges the norm through their designs, slogans, and public presence, advocating for change and highlighting critical issues. "Defiance" by Vivienne Westwood is a collection that invites you to join the rebellion.
